Machining technician at HSP
As a machining mechanic at HSP, you control CNC machines that transform metal into precision components for wind turbines, mechanical engineering, and high-tech projects. Your job has a real impact: without you, many technologies of tomorrow would not work at all. You program, turn, mill, measure, and ensure quality – and see how ideas become reality.
Training with a future
With us, you will not only learn everything about metal, CNC machines, and precision – you will also get fit for adult life: from handling money correctly to using social media confidently. Thanks to the collective agreement of the metal and electrical industry, you earn very well from the start, are entitled to vacation and Christmas bonuses, and are gradually developed into an independent specialist.
And best of all: As a machine mechanic operator, you combine craftsmanship with digital know-how – pure high-tech in a profession with excellent future prospects. A sought-after mix that opens many doors for you.
Your tasks
As a trainee for machining mechanic, you will learn how to transform metal into precision components for future technologies using state-of-the-art CNC machines. At HSP, you’re right in the middle of it from day one:
In short: You create parts without which many technologies of tomorrow would not work at all.
Your profile
What does the training look like with us? Two of our trainees take you through their daily routine in a VR film and show you how exciting and varied the work as a machining technician is at HSP.
What awaits you

Simply online via our application form or by email to bewerbung@hsp-components.com. Your resume is sufficient for now – you can submit certificates and cover letters later.
For the start of training on 08/01/2026, we recommend applying by spring 2026 at the latest.
After reviewing your application, you will receive an invitation to an interview or assessment. There you will get to know us and we will check whether the profession suits you – in a very uncomplicated way.
Training process & content
You start at the BZI vocational college in Remscheid with basics, socio-educational support, and prevention courses. After that, you go directly into practice at HSP – your training mentor will introduce you step by step.
You work on CNC machines, program and process workpieces for wind power, mechanical engineering, and high-tech applications, check the quality, and get to know the entire production chain.
Regularly, you will be fully trained after 3.5 years.
No – you combine craftsmanship with PC work on modern CNC machines. Precise work is required, not heavy physical work.
Requirements & skills
At least a qualified secondary school certificate, technical interest, manual skills, and spatial imagination.
Basic technical affinity is sufficient – you will learn everything else practically at HSP.
In addition to specialist training, you will learn, for example, how to handle money, use social media consciously, road safety, and team communication – skills that make you strong even outside of training.
Remuneration & benefits
At HSP, we pay according to the metal tariff. For you, this means that you already earn over €1,000 gross in the 1st year, plus vacation and Christmas bonuses.
Discounted food and drinks in the canteen, free work clothes, vocational school shuttle, trainee ticket, health service BetterDoc – and above all: a great team and the best chances of being taken on.
Most trainees are taken on, with further training and career opportunities up to specialist or master for precision components.
